Polish FM: Visa restrictions should be put on those responsible for repression; not on people of Georgia

“We think that restrictions should be put on those who are responsible for repression, and not on the people of Georgia,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, in response to the question regarding possible visa restrictions for Georgia.

“I was born in communist Poland. It was an authoritarian regime, but which allowed us in some periods to travel abroad. And at that time, we particularly appreciated countries like Austria, Sweden, West Berlin, that allowed us visa-free access. It was a window to the world to us,” Sikorski said during his doorstep interview.
