“This is a matter of speculation when you suggest that Tornike Rizhvadze is aligned with Irakli Garibashvili; that is incorrect. He was a member of the Georgian Dream team and continues to be a member of the Georgian Dream team,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists in Batumi.

He emphasized that it is misguided to associate specific officials with particular individuals.

“Tornike Rizhvadze has held his position for seven years. He has consistently been a part of the Georgian Dream team, and it is inappropriate to suggest otherwise. If anyone is to be linked to the processes surrounding his appointment seven years ago, it would be me, as I was one of the first involved. Therefore, such claims are unfounded speculations.

Regarding his recent decision, it is up to him to comment on should he deem it necessary. I want to express my gratitude to Tornike Rizhvadze once again for his dedicated service to the development of this vital region of Adjara over the past seven years, exhibiting professionalism and dignity,” concluded the Prime Minister.
