PM meets Azerbaijani FM

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, met Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the Government Administration reported.

The meeting focused on the strategic partnership and good neighborly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The positive dynamics of bilateral relations in recent years were emphasized.

The two sides discussed joint infrastructure and energy projects, highlighting their importance in the development of the Middle Corridor. Special attention was paid to trade and economic relations, as well as the positive trend in the growth of trade volumes between the two countries.

The discussion also touched upon the current situation in the region. The Prime Minister reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to contribute, through dialogue and cooperation, to ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
