PM Kobakhidze: Our priority must be to prevent Maidan repeat in Georgia
“Our primary focus should be on preventing a repeat of the Maidan in our country and, most importantly, averting the opening of a second front that certain entities have sought and seemingly continue to seek,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in Dubai.
The Prime Minister emphasized that neither a Maidan scenario nor a process of Ukrainization will be allowed to unfold in Georgia.
“We have long maintained our opposition to the Ukrainization of Georgia, especially when representatives from specific countries discuss the potential development of a Maidan scenario. This situation warrants careful analysis. I assure you, neither a Maidan will occur in Georgia nor will Ukrainization take place. Just look at what the revolution, the Maidan, and the subsequent war brought to our friendly nation, Ukraine. Our primary efforts must be directed at preventing a repetition of the Maidan in our country and, crucially, stopping the opening of a second front that certain entities have sought and seemingly continue to seek,” the Prime Minister concluded.
