PM: It’s shameful to label violent actions as peaceful protests; agents are coerced into distorted assessments

“When blatantly violent actions are labelled by certain forces as peaceful protests, it is nothing short of shamelessness—there is simply no other way to describe it,” Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in Antalya.

Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that certain individuals are motivated by specific political agendas; they receive directives and, as agents, are compelled to make crude assessments.

“Do you remember the scale of violence perpetrated by certain individuals over five days? There were assaults on government buildings and attacks against police officers and law enforcement personnel, yet they dared to call these peaceful protests. This is absolute shamelessness; such actions cannot be viewed in any other light. Once again, it is evident that specific individuals are driven by particular political motives—this includes politicians both within our borders and abroad. They receive orders and, as agents, are forced to resort to these baseless assessments, which are not only grossly erroneous but constitute outright falsehoods. Society will draw its own conclusions regarding these matters,” concluded Irakli Kobakhidze.
