PM: Georgia to have ultra-modern 70,000-capacity stadium

“Our country will soon have a state-of-the-art, ultra-modern, British-style stadium with a capacity of 70,000 spectators,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists after the opening ceremony of the Surami bypass.

According to the Prime Minister, the stadium will cater not only to sports but also to concerts, with fully modern infrastructure.

“This is another mega-project we are implementing. Our country and capital need a new, completely modern stadium, especially given the growing interest in sports. It will be designed for football and rugby, as well as concerts, with modern facilities throughout. This project is important not only for sports but also for the economy. We can assure everyone that very soon, Georgia will have a sophisticated, world-class, British-style stadium for 70,000 spectators,” the Prime Minister said.
