Pierre-Alexandre Crevaux has no authority to speak on President's behalf, President's Administration says

The Georgian President’s Administration has issued a response to Pierre-Alexandre Crevaux’s recent statement and firmly denied his assertions about the President’s alleged positions and opinions.

The Administration reiterated that Crevaux lacks the authority and credibility to spread baseless rumours regarding the President’s supposed positions and opinions.

Additionally, the Administration clarified that Crevaux never held the position of advisor to the President. He served as an intern from December 24, 2018, as part of an initiative aimed at providing opportunities for young people of Georgian origin living abroad to return to their homeland.

“Crevaux worked as a communication service specialist under an employment contract from April 1, 2019, to December 31, 2022. However, he was not employed as a civil servant due to the absence of a document confirming his higher education,” the Administration states.

Pierre-Alexandre Crevaux, a former employee of the Presidential Administration, has recently assumed a position within the opposition United National Movement party. In this new role, he expressed his hope for President Salome Zourabichvili to grant a pardon to Mikheil Saakashvili, stating, “Zourabichvili gradually realizes the need to pardon Saakashvili.”
