President: Parliamentary elections to be decisive to get rid of not Dream, but Georgian Nightmare

“The 2024 parliamentary elections will be decisive to get rid of not the Dream (GD) but the Georgian Nightmare,” Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili told France Info.

“For Georgia, everything that does not lead along the path to Europe, to the consolidation of freedom and independence, is a nightmare,” the President said.

Answering a question about whether she fears that Russia can once again attack Georgia this summer during the Paris Olympics as it happened in 2008 during the Beijing Olympic Games, Salome Zourabichvili responded:

“You should never say never about Russia. But it is clear today that Russia’s strategy about Georgia is a bit different. It is a hybrid war strategy through propaganda and pressure on the authorities to adopt Russian laws, as well as through the influx of Russian migrants into the territory of Georgia. We are in a hybrid war that we are resisting, but you should never say never,” Salome Zourabichvili said.
