At the organisational meeting, commission members approved the regulations of the temporary parliamentary commission. According to the regulations, the commission’s purpose is to conduct a systematic, comprehensive and evidence-based study of the issue of rising prices for food products, medicines and fuel within its remit, to provide an objective assessment of price formation mechanisms, and to identify possible problem areas.

“The commission’s purpose is to examine the food products, medicines and fuel sectors. It is essential that the examination process is conducted transparently, and that we hear from sector leaders about the problems and challenges they face, as well as how the processes might be optimised.
