NEA hydrologists, geologists inspecting disaster zone in Baghdati, to issue recommendations
Field teams of hydrologists and geologists from the National Environment Agency (NEA) are inspecting the disaster zone in the Baghdati Municipality.
In coordination with the municipality’s relevant services, the teams will assess the current situation and risks and will issue recommendations on emergency and preventive measures.
Heavy precipitation on August 27 triggered landslides, mudflows, flash floods, and erosion processes, and caused flooding in various settlements across the Baghdati Municipality.
The flood damaged roads, bridges, infrastructure, agricultural plots and residential buildings.
