NEA issues alert on rains, hailstorms, strong winds on August 29-31

Intermittent rains with possible hailstorms and strong winds are expected in the majority of Georgian regions on August 29-31, the National Environment Agency (NEA) said.

“Heavy rains may cause swelling of rivers in meadow lands and formation and activation of landlising processes in the mountainous areas (threat zone-medium),” the NEA said in its issued alert.
