PACE to observe the parliamentary elections in Georgia

A 9-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will observe the parliamentary elections in Georgia, Information about this is published on the official website of the Assembly.

“PACE delegation led by Tiny Kox (Netherlands, UEL), will travel to Georgia from 29 October to 1 November to observe the conduct of the parliamentary elections, alongside observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, NATO Parliamentary Assembly and OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). Information about this is published on the official website of the Assembly.

The delegation will meet, in particular, representatives of political parties, the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, as well as representatives of civil society and the media, before observing the ballot on 31 October.

A representative of the Venice Commission – the Council of Europe’s group of independent legal experts – will provide legal support during the visit” – information reads.
