Out of 44 new coronavirus cases, seven are linked to the confectionery shop “Dona,” three are medical workers, 12 are linked to Batumi, 12 more had contact with an infected patient, two had travel history in virus-hit place, five are imported and source of infection into three cases is unknown, said Marina Ezugbaia, medical director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.

At this stage, 421 coronavirus patients remain in COVID-19 Centers, of those, three are in a critical condition, 17 more in serious state, added Ezugbaia.

Georgia has reported 44 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 1 773, according to stopcov.ge.

Four patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, increasing the total to 1 325.
