Nino Lomjaria, Public Defender of Georgia offers law enforcement bodies to act as a liaison with the Machalikashvilis family.

“I have offered the family and I would also like to make a public offer to the investigation that we can act as liaisons so that maximum available information is provided to the family as these people have the sense of great injustice. I think, investigation should respond to some of their questions. We have requested the information, however we do not know whether we will have the possibility to receive it”, Lomjaria said.

Nino Lomjaria met with locals of Duisi village, Pankisi Gorge earlier today. Representatives of Ombudsman’s Office held meetings with family members of Temirlan Machalikashvili, 19-year-old youth killed during the special operation carried out on December 26, teachers and Women’s Council at Culture House.
