Nineteen Covid patients to be placed in field hospital

Nineteen Covid-19 infected patients are placed at a field hospital in Dighomi Olympic village.

According to the field hospital coordinator Revaz Kuchukhidze, Delta strain dominates among the infected persons. One of the patients was transferred to a hospital. The field hospital is ready to receive up to 200 patients.

Tamar Gabunia, Deputy Health Minister said on August 20 that the patients would stay at the government-assigned facility no longer than 2-3 days. As soon as their health condition stabilizes, they will continue treatment at home or Covid-hotels.
