New road leading to Gergeti Trinity Church – Drone shots

The Roads Department of Georgia released the drone filming shots of the 5.6-kilometer-long new road leading to Gergeti Sameba (Trinity) Church in Kazbegi Municipality.

According to Roads Department, a cement-concrete road cover has been placed, sewage pipes organized, parking lots arranged and traffic signs installed across the road.
The infrastructure is organized to make the place more attractive for tourists and holiday-makers. The project was financed from the state budget in the amount of 7 793 848 GEL.

The Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. It is located at an elevation of 2170 meters (7120 feet) under Mount Kazbegi.
