Georgia hosts the annual NATO Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback Programme (OCC E&F) conference.
Today, at the Biltmore Hotel, the conference was officially opened by First Deputy Minister of Defence Paata Patiashvili and Rear Admiral Yusuf Karagiule.
In their speeches about the programme and the significance of such gatherings, they highlighted Georgia’s active participation. The Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, Major General Irakli Chichinadze, attended the event.
Representatives from various commands and military specialisations, alongside military and civilian personnel from defence agencies of both NATO member and partner countries, are partaking in the conference. Over the course of five days, participants will share their experiences in organising and conducting military exercises, evaluate the progress of mutual cooperation, and discuss plans for the year ahead.
Within the framework of the conference, Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, Major General Irakli Chichinadze, held bilateral meetings with Rear Admiral Yusuf Karagiule and Brigadier General Theodoros Stephous, during which they discussed issues related to cooperation between partner nations in defence and security.
The NATO Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback Programme (OCC E&F) conference, organised under the auspices of NATO’s Allied Joint Operations Command (SHAPE), is held annually in different partner countries. Georgia is hosting the event for the second time.
