Multifunctional hospitals only to carry Covid-19 vaccination

Covid-19 vaccination will be possible only at the multifunctional hospitals, said Tamar Gabunia, Deputy Health Minister.

According to Tamar Gabunia, the death of the 27-year-old nurse from the Akhaltsikhe region, who developed an anaphylactic reaction to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and died, is an unfortunate fact. But, the risks and side effects of the immunization are minor against benefits during the pandemic.

Deputy Health Minister said that the AstraZeneca inoculation would continue per the NCDC, Health Ministry and experts’ recommendations.

The government selected forty hospitals throughout Georgia to implement the Covid-19 vaccination. The Batumi Republican Hospital will be the only venue for the Covid-19 vaccination across the Adjara region.
