Deputy Health Minister urges citizens to get flu shot

Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia called on citizens to get a flu shot as rhinovirus, enterovirus, and Coronavirus (about 7-8%) are circulating, whereas so far, only individual cases of the flu have been reported.

The state has purchased 200,000 Abbott four-component vaccines of high quality, she noted.

“Vaccination is crucial for pregnant women. They will be vaccinated at the first stage.

Flu vaccination for risk groups starts on Monday.

The vaccine is free and the state program fully covers it,” she added.
