MP Nikoloz Samkharadze: Calling the protesters a ‘sect’ is an overstatement; even a sect is driven by some underlying belief

“I believe describing the protesters as a ‘sect’ is an overstatement, as even a sect is driven by some underlying belief,” MP Nikoloz Samkharadze stated in response to Speaker Shalva Papuashvili’s recent remarks regarding the demonstrations.

Samkharadze asserted that these individuals’ sole objective is to create chaos and instability in the country.

“I do not know what drives these people at all, other than creating problems for the country, inciting instability, and relying on hate speech. I believe that is the single motive behind their actions,” Samkharadze noted.
