Minister of Economy: In 2021-2025, Georgia's economy increased by average of 9.3 percent, making Georgia leader among both European and regional countries
“It is pleasing to hear that, based on the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in medium-term perspective, in 2026-2030, Georgia will continue to be the leader and have the highest economic growth, with an average 5.1%,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development at the opening of the Georgia-Croatia business forum.
According to the Minister, similar format meetings provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to the economic growth of the countries.
“The year 2025 was especially successful – our country demonstrated record achievements in foreign trade: exports increased by more than 11%. Also, we received a record amount, USD 4.7 billion in revenues from the tourism industry, and the number of tourist flows hit a record.
The policy we are pursuing, including in the transport sector, has had a direct impact on the strengthening of the aviation sector. We are honoured to have been given the opportunity to host a record number of passengers at all three international airports in the country,” Mariam Kvrivishvili stated.
