As part of the fight against illegal migration, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Migration Department have detained 9 citizens of Nigeria, Bangladesh, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and India.
“They were staying in the country in violation of requirements established by Georgia’s Law on the Legal Status of Aliens and Stateless Persons.
Currently, these individuals are placed in the Migration Department’s temporary accommodation center. Appropriate procedures are underway for their expulsion from the country,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
