Officers of the Migration Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant units, have deported 56 foreign nationals from Georgia.

According to the MIA, following recent comprehensive measures, a total of 56 citizens, including those from India, Turkiye, Pakistan, Kenya, the Philippines, Iraq, Nigeria, Uganda, Bangladesh, Ghana, Jordan, Cuba, Russia, Sudan, Tajikistan and China, have been expelled from Georgia.

In addition, they were banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its mandate includes identifying foreign nationals residing without legal grounds and expelling them through intensive immigration controls and other measures.
