Thirty foreign nationals have been expelled from the country through close coordination between the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and relevant authorities.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), a series of comprehensive measures undertaken in recent days resulted in the deportation of citizens from India, Turkiye, Iran, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Russia, Belarus, Iraq, Jordan, and Lithuania. Under current legislation, those expelled have been barred from re-entering Georgia.
The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for tackling illegal migration within Georgia. Its duties include identifying foreign nationals residing in the country without legal grounds and deporting them when necessary.
