I am convinced that with the unanimity of strong Georgian spirit and the support of our European friends, the day will come when united, strong and peaceful Georgia will become a full member of the EU, – Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said at the event held within the framework of the European Days.

As head of the government noted Europe is a civilizational choice of Georgian nation and Georgia should become a full member of the European family.

“Our nation has made its contribution to the formation of values​, which are the basis of the European idea. That’s why citizens of Georgia have the right to say that this is a civilizational choice. We’ve passed a very difficult road, but today we can boldly declare that Georgia has never been so close to Europe. This is a great victory, which belongs to everyone. This is the merit of our society and the result of our Western friends’ help, and I want to thank them for this,” – stated the Prime Minister.

Mamuka Bakhtadze highlighted the importance of the EU financial and technical support through which the Georgian government has implemented significant reforms.

“We are on the firm and right path that will lead to success. It is necessary that our citizens be able to enjoy the benefits of the process of European integration. We have just made another victory when the EU has officially given us the opportunity to join the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and Georgian diplomas will be recognized in Europe. We need such victories every day,” – the head of the government added.
