US NSC spokesperson urges Georgian MPs to uphold presidential veto on Transparency Law

US National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson echoes to Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili’s veto on the “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” law.

“Glad to see President Zourabichvili standing up for Georgia’s EuroAtlantic future by vetoing the foreign agents’ law. We urge members of parliament show the same courage by not overturning her veto,” Adrienne Watson wrote on social media.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili vetoed the law On Transparency of Foreign Influence on Saturday. The Georgian parliament adopted the law On Transparency of Foreign Influence with the third reading on May 14.
