Majority MP: Opposition to show no interest in elections, plan strikes
The opposition shows no interest in local elections. They plan to organize disorder, said ruling Georgian Dream (GD) lawmaker Shalva Papuashvili.
According to the GD representative, the opposition lacks an election program addressing the population’s needs and concerns.
“The opposition is likely to plot disorder for October 3. Failure to nominate candidates, present the election program, demonstrate a low chance to win. We will have a difficult September ahead. I expect a torrent of dirt, misinformation and fake news from our opponents, especially the United National Movement. Therefore, I urge the public to be ready for this and critically analyze all information,” majority MP said.
Local elections in Georgia will be held on October 2.
