Lithuania introduces 3-week quarantine

Lithuania has introduced a three-week nationwide quarantine. Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis said on October 3 that the government would close cafes and restaurants, except for take-away, as well as massage services, gyms and SPAs.

Skvernelis said hotels would not be ordered to close, but the proposal would ban group services, and also restrict catering by just allowing food deliveries to rooms or take away. Hairdressers and beauty salons would not be restricted, but pre-registration and additional safety measures would be required.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, Lithuania confirmed 18 092 cases. The death toll in the country stands at 182.
