Georgian Prosecutor General addresses Parliament
Parliament is currently hearing from the Prosecutor General of Georgia, Giorgi Gvarakidze.
The Prosecutor General is presenting last year’s annual report at a joint session of the Human Rights and Legal Issues Committees.
At this moment, Gvarakidze is outlining the activities undertaken by the General Prosecutor’s Office over the past year. Members of the For Georgia parliamentary faction are also in attendance. As Gvarakidze noted, criminal prosecutions were initiated against 25,086 individuals last year, marking a notable increase compared to previous years.
