Lelo's Natsvlishvili tells Georgian citizens not to be afraid, promises support through every legal challenge

The Russian oligarch, who is sanctioned by the democratic world for serving the interests of Georgia’s occupier rather than the Georgian people, has decided to implement financial terror and repression against patriotic, brave Georgian citizens through his subordinates,” stated Lelo party member Ana Natsvlishvili.

According to Natsvlishvili, the fines imposed for participating in protests will be appealed at every level of the legal system.

“Ivanishvili thinks he can break the Georgian people’s tireless fight for this country’s independent and European future using Russian methods. We want to publicly declare that we view these fines issued by the occupation regime as crucial evidence and accept them as confirmation of our patriotism and loyalty to this country’s European future. We do not intend to fill Ivanishvili’s treasury and instead plan to use every legal instrument together with the Georgian people—even though the fairness of these instruments is not guaranteed today—to use every legal avenue and instance to create headaches and serious bureaucratic challenges for the regime that has decided to stop protests through citizen repression. We will turn their fight against them.

Today, I want to address each citizen of Georgia—do not be afraid, we will stand by your side at every level, both at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and in the courts, to appeal these illegal and unjust fines. We will help each and every one of you. I want to announce a common hotline number for Georgian citizens, which is a joint effort of pro-Western political forces: 2 05 26 44. Contact us at any time of the day.

As for those individuals who are involved in these illegal actions, we will go through all these instances to create detailed evidence about each police officer, investigator, and judge who is violating the law and committing illegalities while carrying out the orders of the Russian oligarch. After the elections, when the rule of law and the constitution are restored in Georgia, each of these individuals will have to face Georgian justice for their criminal actions,” Natsvlishvili declared.
