Lelo party says GD misleads society by speaking about consultations

“The Georgian Dream misleads society when it speaks about consultations,” said Salome Samadashvili, a member of the opposition Lelo party, remarking on the selection process of members for the High Council of Justice (HCoJ).

Samadashvili believes that it does not matter if the GD goes on concession on two candidates, adding the ruling team aimed to usurp all branches of authority.

Samadashvili reminded the media that considerable time was wasted during the Public Defender’s candidacy selection and that the GD eventually picked its preferred candidate.

“Georgian Dream has already demonstrated to the public and the European Union that their agenda is to continue usurping all branches of government. Therefore, it does not matter what Georgian Dream will do because it is already known to everyone that this government does not fulfil any of the EU’s key requirements,” she said.
