Leader of Development Movement – Today’s meeting is important but will not be decisive
Today’s meeting is important but will not be decisive, and we have to reconcile with that – Davit Usupashvili, Leader of Development Movement said before the meeting, which is underway at Biltmore Hotel in Tbilisi between representatives of the ruling party and opposition.
Usupashvili said that the way out of the current political crisis and standoff was to be discussed during the meeting.
“Such large-scale problems are not solved in one day and with one meeting. But we have to explain to the government that we will all fall into the ravine under the facing confrontation regarding an election system in the country,” Usupashvili said.
According to the Leader of Development Movement, an election system’s model, adapted to the Georgian legislation and reality, had to be agreed and the forms how and what king of changes had to be made were to be considered afterwards.
