Latvian President – We hope ways will be found for Georgia to say that it is an independent country without occupied territories

Latvia will continue supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty – President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis said after the face-to-face meeting with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili.

The two presidents made statements for the media. President Vējonis underlined that Latvia was condemning Russia’s aggression and occupation of Abkhazian and South Ossetian regions.

“We hope that ways will be found for Georgia to say that it is an independent and free country without occupied territories,” President of Latvia said.

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili is in Latvia on an official visit.
