Latvia will allocate 15,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to Georgia, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs announced following the meeting with his Georgian counterpart David Zalkaliani on Monday. Latvian FM underscored the importance of joint efforts in the fight against the pandemic.
Edgars Rinkēvičs also talked about the resumption of direct flights and hoped that the air traffic would shortly return to pre-COVID-19 level.
Latvian Foreign Minister is paying a two-day official visit to Georgia.
During his stay in Georgia, Edgars Rinkēvičs will travel to the village of Odzisi near the occupation line and get acquainted with the current situation on the ground.
Latvian Foreign Minister will also hold meetings with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava.
