Kvevri (a vessel used for the fermentation, storage and ageing of wine) has been put in the courtyard of Georgia’s Embassy in the U.S. in Washington.
The National Wine Agency gave the Kvevri to the Embassy in connection with Georgian Wine Day. A special board, installed next to the Kvevri, provides information about the Georgian traditional viticulture.
Davit Bakradze, Georgian Ambassador to the U.S. hosted the guests who were given the opportunity to taste various assortment of the Georgian wine. “The guests were fascinated by the Georgian national dances that made the evening exceptional,” the Embassy said.
