Kobakhidze: From unbiassed perspective, it’s clear that Georgia prioritizes peace—all nations should uphold these principles
“We greatly appreciate the supportive statements made by our Azerbaijani and Turkish friends; our focus is on promoting peace not only in Georgia but also in our region,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in Antalya.
According to Kobakhidze, Georgia’s allies and neighbouring states are keenly aware of the dynamics surrounding the country.
“During our bilateral meeting, I personally thanked Mr. Aliyev for his encouraging remarks. Anyone who objectively observes and evaluates the situation understands what is transpiring around Georgia. It is evident to all that we are committed to ensuring peace not only within our borders but also in the surrounding region. Georgia plays a significant role in fostering stability across the South Caucasus and beyond. This is our shared vision—one that emphasizes peace, development, and prosperity. I believe all nations should adhere to these principles, although, unfortunately, contemporary approaches differ. We sincerely hope that once the war in Ukraine concludes, perspectives will shift accordingly. This necessitates a global political direction aligned with peace,” Irakli Kobakhidze concluded.
