Iran records highest daily COVID-19 deaths since outbreak

Iran is facing sharp increase in daily deaths and active coronavirus cases.

221 patients died in Iran in the latest 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 12 305, according to Iran’s Health Ministry.

2 079 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in one day, taking the total number of infected people to 250 458.

Of the country’s 31 provinces, 9 have been declared coronavirus “red zones.”
