Ilia II met with Hungarian Foreign Minister

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, together with the priests and the clergy hosted the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto, the Hungarian Ambassador to Georgia Victoria Horvath and their accompanying persons. Georgian Patriarchate released this information.

The meeting focused on the friendly relations between Hungary and Georgia and the ongoing global processes.

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia noted that Georgia is an ancient Christian country and our people still faithfully defend Christian values. He also thanked the guest for the assistance provided by Hungary for the development of agriculture.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister said it was a great honor for him to meet with the head of the Georgian Orthodox Church, adding that relations between Hungary and Georgia have been established in various fields, including agriculture, and are ready for further cooperation.
