The National Environmental Agency forecasts intermittent heavy short-term rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds in eastern Georgia and western Georgia’s mountainous areas on July 5, with possible hail in eastern regions.

Meteorologists warn that expected precipitation may cause significant water level rises in Georgian rivers, flash floods in smaller rivers, and trigger or intensify landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous zones.

The National Environmental Agency has assessed the threat level as moderate.
