Government Administration Head: Damage assessment underway, infrastructure repairs to start immediately
“By the decision of the Prime Minister, damage assessment commissions will be established to calculate the damage caused to families by heavy snowfall,” the Head of the Government Administration, Levan Zhorzholiani, told journalists.
According to Zhorzholiani, municipalities will promptly begin assisting the affected population.
“In cases of minor infrastructure damage, such as roof repairs, work will start immediately. If a building’s stability is in question or deemed unsafe, municipalities will provide temporary housing through rent assistance. No family will be left without shelter. The extent of the damage will be assessed, and appropriate compensation decisions will be made,” Zhorzholiani stated.
