Geostat reports 8% increase in Georgia's External Merchandise Trade in 2024

In 2024 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 23 435.3 million, 8.0% higher year-on-year, the National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.

The exports equalled 6 560.4 million (7.8 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 16 874.9 million (8.1% higher). The negative trade balance was USD 10 314.5 million in 2024 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 44.0 percent.

In 2024 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 81.5%. The top partners were Kyrgyzstan (USD 1 287.4 million), Kazakhstan (USD 859.9 million) and Azerbaijan (USD 724.5 million).
