Georgia's Justice Minister cautions Ukraine's president's adviser to refrain from illegal remarks

“It would have been wiser to learn more about international law and international relations before making illegal comments,” Georgian Justice Minister Rati Bregadze said, echoing a statement by a Ukrainian president’s adviser.

Rati Bregadze believes that anyone purporting to advise someone should be well-versed in international law.

“The restriction on using or threatening to use force is a fundamental principle of international law. This individual (Oleksii Arestovych) is most likely ignorant of this. It’s impossible to respond seriously,” the minister stated.

The Justice Minister claimed Georgia is doing all possible to assist Ukraine, hence Arestovych’s criticism of Georgia is puzzling.

Earlier today, Arestovych stated in a YouTube discussion that Ukraine will “project force in Georgia to rescue Georgians, save Moldova and Armenia.”
