Georgian vines have been planted at Leville Estate in France, the Culture Ministry reported.
According to the Ministry, Rkatsiteli and Saperavi were planted across 1,000 sq. m. of territory. Thus, Georgia, as the homeland of wine, presents its winemaking culture in France and adds new meaning to the historical connection between the two countries.
“Based on the memorandum signed in 2025, the National Museum ensured cultivation of the area, the scientific-research centre of the Agriculture Ministry provided scientific-methodological support, while Shato Zegaani implemented the project and took the commitment of agro-technical maintenance of the vineyard.
“Georgian vine extended across the Leville Estate will give the historic property more significance in terms of preserving Georgian culture, Georgian heritage, and cooperation between Georgia and France,” the Ministry said.
