Georgian President gets AstraZeneca shot live on TV

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili got the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine live on TV on Thursday. Director of Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, and the Medical Director of the Hospital, Marina Ezugbaia, met the President at Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.

According to the President, she got the vaccine out of turn.

“It is crucial to use this opportunity and get vaccinated to protect society and the country, overcome the crisis, grave economic consequences of the pandemic,” Salome Zourabichvili said.

The immunization process began in Georgia on March 15. The first batch of Covid-19 vaccines is designated for medical personnel. 43.200 shots of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in Georgia through the Covax platform on March 13.
