Georgian FM: Important for foreign diplomats to make objective assessments and ensure their calls are not one-sided, which could encourage violence from other side

Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorischvili stated that “it is unacceptable to condemn violence on one side while encouraging violence on the other, which subsequently generates even more violence.”

Responding to a question about statements by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other foreign diplomats, she noted that “violence is unacceptable, and we certainly do not like that specific groups are encouraging violence on the streets of Tbilisi, which subsequently requires law enforcement to respond.”

“The message is simple – it is important that assessments are made objectively,” she added.
