Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held a telephone conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan at the initiative of the Armenian side, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
The foreign ministers discussed the agreement on “establishing peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia reached on August 8, 2025, in Washington.”
Botchorishvili congratulated her Armenian colleague on achieving the “historic” agreement between the two countries, noting that the accord will significantly contribute to strengthening long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The Georgian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to contribute to the development of regional cooperation.
During the conversation, both sides also reviewed issues of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Armenia, the Georgian MFA noted.
