Georgian PM meets Armenian FM

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan.

According to the Government Administration, the sides highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia and reviewed the current situation in the region.

The discussion also touched upon bilateral good-neighborly relations. It was noted that political dialogue between Georgia and Armenia is conducted at the highest level. Special attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation and the fact that Armenia is among Georgia’s ten largest trading partners.

During the meeting, Georgia’s important role in ensuring stable and peaceful development in the region was highlighted.

The meeting at the Government Administration of Georgia was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Georgia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze and Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan.

Irakli Kobakhidze echoed the meeting on the X Platform.

“Glad to meet Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, AraratMirzoyan. We discussed ways to further strengthen Georgia-Armenia relations and reaffirmed our shared vision for a peaceful, stable, and more connected South Caucasus,” he said.

Irakli Kobakhidze echoed the meeting on the X Platform.
