Georgian FM: Gov't actively works to show solidarity with Ukrainians

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Wednesday said: “We are actively working to express solidarity with our Ukrainian sisters and brothers through our diplomatic channels.”

“Participation in the Reykjavik summit is also an expression of solidarity towards Ukraine,” the FM stated.

“Georgia, as a responsible country, and our government were very actively involved with the international community during the year.

We will keep supporting our Ukrainian sisters and brothers politically and diplomatically in the future,” added Darchiashvili.

The Reykjavik summit participants, including Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, signed the document saying that compensation for war victims should be provided following the end of the war in Ukraine.
