Georgian delegation holds bilateral meetings in Geneva

The Georgian delegation has been engaging in bilateral meetings during the 148th Assembly Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.

According to the parliament’s press office, the meetings were held with the Speaker of the Parliament of Guyana, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Cape Verde, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Security Committee of the House of Representatives of Kazakhstan, and the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Senate of Pakistan. Discussions encompassed parliamentary cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral contexts, as well as the potential for collaboration in economic, cultural, educational, and other spheres. The Georgian delegation expressed gratitude for the steadfast support of Georgia’s territorial integrity.

In a separate meeting with the British parliamentary delegation, ongoing political developments in Georgia were discussed. The British side welcomed the European Union’s decision to grant candidate status to Georgia and reiterated its support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
