A Georgian citizen infected with coronavirus was at home in self-isolation for several days after a trip to Italy. The deputy director of the National Center for Disease Control Paata Imnadze announced this today at a briefing.
According to him, the persons flying with him on board have already been identified.
At the same time, Imnadze thanked the patient for his high responsibility and consciousness.
According to the director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital Marina Ezugbaia, a 44-year-old man infected with the virus has a fever of over 38.5 degrees.
As Ezugbaia added, currently, 25 patients are placed at isolated wards of the hospital.
Yet another case of new coronavirus has been confirmed in Georgia. Based on the current data, four cases of the novel virus has been confirmed in Georgia. Two of the infected persons arrived in Georgia from Iran and the other two –from Italy.
